# What You Need:

→ Base

01 - 3 cups crispy rice cereal squares, such as Rice Chex
02 - 3 cups corn cereal squares, such as Corn Chex
03 - 2 cups small pretzel twists
04 - 2 cups salted peanuts
05 - 2 cups bite-sized cheese crackers, such as Goldfish or Cheez-It

→ Sweets

06 - 2 cups mini chocolate-coated candies, such as M&M's
07 - 2 cups mini marshmallows

→ Coating

08 - 24 ounces white chocolate chips or white candy coating
09 - 2 tablespoons coconut oil or vegetable shortening, optional for melting

# Method:

01 - Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, add crispy rice cereal squares, corn cereal squares, pretzel twists, salted peanuts, cheese crackers, mini chocolate-coated candies, and mini marshmallows. Mix gently to distribute ingredients evenly.
03 - Place white chocolate chips and coconut oil, if using, in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
04 - Pour the melted white chocolate over the cereal and snack mixture. Using a spatula, fold gently until all pieces are uniformly coated.
05 - Transfer the coated mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread into an even layer and allow to cool at room temperature for approximately 20 minutes, or until the coating is firm.
06 - Once set, break the mix into bite-sized chunks and transfer to an airtight container. Store at room temperature for up to one week.

# Expert Tricks:

01 -
  • This is the kind of snack people hover around, sneaking handfuls long after they claim to be finished.
  • It comes together in minutes with whatever you’ve got lurking in your pantry—personalization is its secret superpower.
02 -
  • Once, I dumped in the chocolate too slowly and half the mix set up into a stubborn clump—pour quickly and toss thoroughly for even coating.
  • Using coconut oil in the chocolate changed everything: it flows silkier and covers every nook.
03 -
  • Stirring too hard smashes the cereal; a gentle spatula is your best friend here.
  • A pinch of flaky sea salt on top just before setting makes a world of difference for flavor depth.
